Dr. Jennifer John is from Gaithersburg, Maryland and graduated from Gaithersburg High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in Biological Sciences. She went on to complete a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences at Towson University. Dr. John completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2014 from University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dentistry. She moved to Pennsylvania to complete her General Practice Dental residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Dr. John is passionate about preventive dentistry and patient education. She enjoys working with kids and instilling good dental habits at an early age. Dr. John is proficient at various aspects of dentistry such as veneers, implants, endodontics and dentures. She enjoys attending continuing education courses in order to stay current with research, techniques and medical updates. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Delaware State Dental Society, Maryland State Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry, Seattle Study club. Dr. John holds a dental license for Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Dr. John is also an active member in the community. She has volunteered at the Mission of Mercy in both Maryland and Pennsylvania which provides free dental care for individuals who cannot afford dental care. She was a volunteer dentist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in PA, and provided dental care for veterans. She has also been on a mission trip to Guatemala, where she provided dental care to children at Mi Refugio. Dr. John is a member at the Church of the Redeemer and volunteers as an usher.
Dr. John loves traveling and has been backpacking through Europe, driven down Pacific Coast Highway and plans on going to Peru. She enjoys staying fit via dancing, running, biking and walking her dog Diego. Dr. John is looking forward to working in Delaware and being part of the Georgetown community.j
